I’m Rachael Fox, an integrative humanistic psychotherapist and accredited EMDR therapist based in Swansea. I hold a First-Class Honours degree in Counselling from the University of Wales and am accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Although I’m trained in several therapeutic approaches, my specialism — and my passion — is trauma-focused EMDR. I work with adults experiencing trauma, PTSD, complex trauma, childhood wounds, anxiety, and the long-term effects of overwhelming life events.
I understand EMDR from both sides of the room. I’ve had significant EMDR therapy myself, so I know firsthand how challenging it can feel — and how life-changing the results can be. That experience shapes how I work: steady, attuned, supportive, and always paced in a way that feels safe for you.

A Bit About Me
Outside the therapy room, I’m a mum of three, a lover of beach walks in any weather, and someone who fiercely values rest and self-care. I enjoy reading, spending time with friends, and family.
My Background
Before specialising in EMDR and trauma work, I spent years working in addiction services, homelessness projects, supported housing and drop-in centres. That experience deeply informs my trauma work today.
How We Can Work Together
I offer EMDR online and face-to-face from my private practice in Sketty, Swansea. Whether you’re dealing with a single traumatic event or years of carrying more than you should, EMDR can help your nervous system heal and move forward.
If you’re considering EMDR or you’re unsure where to start, you’re welcome to reach out. I’m happy to answer your questions and talk through what EMDR might look like for you.
