I’m Rachael Fox and I am a qualified integrative humanistic counsellor. I studied at the University of Wales Trinity St David where I achieved a 1st class Honours degree in Counselling. I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). My intention is to continue to study because I really enjoy learning and always want to be improving so I can better myself as a counsellor which will benefit my clients.
I am a mum of three beautiful children and I love to read, rest, and socialise with friends. My favourite thing to do though is to be in nature. A beach is a place I absolutely love to be, whatever the weather. I am a big fan of self-care and I make sure I implement this into my daily life.
Having been through many difficulties myself, I know the benefits of counselling. Being actively listened to without judgment by someone is something that we just don’t get much of in our daily life.
I can work with:
- Trauma
- Anger Management
- Anxiety
- ADHD
- Depression
- Addiction
- Co-dependency
- Relationship Issues
- Self-Esteem
- Self Harm
- Stress
- Bereavement
- Plus many more
My special areas of interest are addiction and codependency. For me the relationship between client and counsellor is paramount and I place great value on building trusting and respectful relationships with my clients.
My background is working with addiction and homelessness. I have worked in supported housing for people who were trying to get their lives back on track after dealing with alcohol or drug dependency and/or offenders. I have also worked in a local drug and alcohol agency and in drop-in centres for the homeless.
If you are interested in having counselling, please contact me. I offer online, telephone, and face-to-face counselling sessions. Face-to-face sessions are based in Swansea.
