About Me

Rachael Fox Counsellor SwanseaI’m Rachael Fox, an experienced, qualified integrative humanistic psychotherapist. I studied at the University of Wales Trinity St David, where I achieved a 1st class Honours degree in Counselling. I am Accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I am also an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) Therapist.

I am a mum of three beautiful children, and I love to read, rest, and socialise with friends. My favourite thing is to be in nature. A beach is a place I absolutely love to be, whatever the weather. I am a big fan of self-care, and I make sure I implement this into my daily life.

Having been through many difficulties myself, I know the benefits of counselling. Being actively listened to without judgment by someone is something that we just don’t get much of in our daily lives.

I can work with:

  • Trauma
  • Anger Management
  • Anxiety
  • ADHD
  • Depression
  • Addiction
  • Co-dependency
  • Relationship Issues
  • Self-Esteem
  • Self Harm
  • Stress
  • Bereavement
  • PTSD
  • Plus many more

My particular areas of interest are addiction and codependency.

The relationship between client and counsellor is paramount, and I value building trusting and respectful relationships with my clients.

My background is working with addiction and homelessness. I have worked in supported housing for people who were trying to get their lives back on track after dealing with alcohol or drug dependency and offenders. I have also worked in a local drug and alcohol agency and in drop-in centres for the homeless.

If you are interested in counselling, please get in touch with me. I offer online, and face-to-face counselling sessions. Face-to-face sessions are based in Swansea (Sketty).
